Here is everything voters in the Northeast San Antonio Metrocom need to know before heading to the polls for the November 4 election.
What residents should know
Voters should note the following dates of importance in the upcoming election:
- Oct. 6: Last day to register to vote
- Oct. 20: First day of early voting
- Oct. 24: Last day to apply for a ballot by mail
- Oct. 31: Last day of early voting
- Nov. 4: Election Day and the last day to receive a ballot by mail (or Nov. 5 at 5 p.m. if carrier envelope is postmarked by 7 p.m. at the location of the election on Election Day)
Voters must vote in the county where they are registered. Bexar County voters can visit www.bexar.org/1568/Elections-Department, and Guadalupe County voters can visit www.guadalupetx.gov/page/elections.election2 to find early voting and Election Day polling locations.

This listing includes contested elections that may appear on the ballots of voters in the Schertz, Cibolo and Universal City areas in Bexar and Guadalupe counties. This list is not comprehensive and does not include all November 4 races or any uncontested races.

Proposition A
The measure calls for an increase in the county’s hotel occupancy tax to 2% for the purpose of financing the Coliseum Complex Venue Project.
Proposition B
The measure calls for an increase in the county’s hotel occupancy tax to 2% for the purpose of financing the Arena Venue Project.
Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent School District
Proposition A
The measure calls for an increase of the district’s ad valorem (property) tax rate to $1.1969 per $100 valuation.

The measure gives residents in extraterritorial jurisdiction within 5 miles of the boundary of Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph the option of annexation or no annexation with land use regulations.
