General election to be held May 7: What Northeast San Antonio metrocom voters need to know

Voters in Garden Ridge have a ballot item for Place 5 council member as Shelby Trial runs against incumbent Kay Bower.

Cibolo will hold a special election for the District 2 council member seat as Council Member Steve Quinn steps down early. Victor M. Orsorio II and Randy Roberts will be on the ballot for District 2 voters.

Universal City will have at-large races for three City Council positions with five candidates running. The race includes incumbents Paul Najarian and Beverly Volle as well as three new candidates: Richard K. Edwards, Steven R. Buck and Phil Vaughan.

Universal City will also have a mayoral race between incumbent John Williams and candidate Adam E. Salyer.

Live Oak voters have a bond in the amount of $18 million on the ballot, with the money from the bond to be used to address roads, bridges and sidewalk repair.

Alongside this bond, Live Oak will have seven propositions amending the language within the city charter.

San Antonio voters also have a bond election featuring the largest bond the city has proposed to date, amounting to $1.2 billion. All voters will have ballot items for two statewide property tax propositions.
