The city of Schertz will have one contested council election on the Nov. 4 ballot.

Incumbent Michelle Watson will be running for reelection to Schertz City Council Place 2 against one candidate, John Carbon.

Watson was elected to council in November 2022 after receiving 1,375, or 57.17% of votes, against her opponent, according to previous reporting by Community Impact. According to Watson's candidate filing, she has been a Schertz resident for 9 years.

Carbon has been a resident of Schertz for 9 years and 6 months, according to his candidate filing.

The Schertz mayor position is also up for election, along with the Schertz City Council Place 1 seat. Incumbent Mark Davis is the lone Place 1 candidate.
