7.6% of Kendall County voters cast a ballot during first week of March primary elections early voting

Week one of early voting in the March primary elections has ended, bringing out 3,028 voters in Kendall County.

Kendall County voters are considering candidates for county judge, commissioner seats and other county positions. Being a Republican majority county, most candidates who win the primary election will run uncontested in November, effectively becoming the next elected official for a given seat.

Breaking it down

Of the 39,857 registered voters in Kendall County, 7.60% have cast a ballot either by mail or in person. The total voter turnout in the 2024 primary election was 31.25%, and the total for 2022 was 29%.

As of Feb. 23, 2,394 Republican ballots have been cast, while 634 Democrat ballots have been cast.

The largest voter turnout during the first week of early voting was Feb. 20, with 829 ballots cast throughout the day.
