SCUCISD selects firm for facility, bond planning assistance

The district will work with PBK on district facility assessments, as well as receiving more accurate numbers on project cost estimates. PBK will also assist with the district’s Bond Planning Committee, born out of the Community Advisory Committee.

Superintendent Paige Meloni said more Bond Planning Committee announcements will be made in either May or June, as previously reported by Community Impact.

The San Antonio-based architect was selected over eight competitor bids to focus on the district’s long-range facility planning, Bond Planning Committee support, and bond campaign strategy and communications, according to agenda documents.

Mosley said PBK was a “dynamic team” that had strengths in bond planning, facility assessments and conceptual designs. The firm could also help with bond campaign strategy, which is another reason why staff recommended them to the board.
