North East ISD board candidate forums to be held April 6, 13 — North East ISD Council of PTAs will invite NEISD residents to public forums April 6 and 13 where they can learn more about May 4 district school board election candidates. (Courtesy NEISD)

Residents in North East ISD are invited to five forums where candidates running in the school district’s May 4 board elections will engage the public.

The background

Officials with North East ISD Council of PTAs said they organized one forum for each contested races that will be held for five of seven school board seats.

Each forum will take place at Piper Bass Memorial Student Center, 12002 Jones Maltsberger Road.

Forums involving candidates for single-member districts 5, 6 and 4 are all scheduled for April 6, beginning at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m., respectively.

Forums involving contestants for single-member districts 1 and 2 are set for April 13, starting at 10 a.m. and noon, respectively.

Early voting for the May 4 election will happen April 22-30.
