New principal hired for Maxine & Lutrell Watts Elementary School

The Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD board of trustees approved the recommendation of hiring Steven Piles to serve as the new principal of Maxine & Lutrell Watts Elementary School on April 3 for the 2025-26 school year.

In a nutshell

Piles, who currently has served as the assistant principal at Schertz Elementary School for the past four years, is replacing Lee Conn. Prior to his role as assistant principal, Piles taught at John A. Sippel Elementary School for eight years, according to a news release.
