Darkside Brick Oven Pizza Co. to expand with new themed bar in Boerne
An eclectic local pizza joint in Boerne is currently expanding with plans to open a new bar and lounge later this year.

Darkside Brick Oven Pizza Co. is in the process of constructing a new bar behind the restaurant at 25 Truss Drive in Boerne, just off of Hwy. 46.
Called Darkside After Dark, Owner Michael Hawes told Community Impact he expects it to open sometime in November.
Velocity Country Store & Meat Market now open in Fair Oaks Ranch
A rebranded convenience store and gas station has officially opened in the Fair Oaks Ranch area, just off of I-10 headed towards Boerne.

The first tenant of the Schertz Station development—a 257,000-square-foot retail and commercial space off of I-35 North and Cibolo Valley Drive—is now open for business.

Panera Bread opened at 18406 I-35 N., Ste. 700 on Oct. 20. The fast-casual restaurant serves sandwiches, soups and salads; along with drinks like signature teas and lemonades.
A local Tex-Mex chain continues its expansion in the San Antonio area, adding a new location in the Stone Oak area of the city.

Tia’s Taco Hut officially opened its 14th location in the metro at 3643 Evans Road on Sept. 13, restaurant management told Community Impact.
It’s one of six locations in northern San Antonio.
Chicago-themed restaurant opens brick-and-mortar in Schertz
Schertz food truck—A Chicago Bite—has opened a brick-and-mortar location in northeast San Antonio.

A Chicago Bite—located at 820 Main St. in Schertz—celebrated its opening with a ribbon cutting on Sept. 24. The restaurant is owned by Krystal Cross, who previously operated A Chicago Bite out of a food truck in Cibolo.
