Groundbreaking held for Providence by the Green in far North San Antonio

A groundbreaking ceremony was held at 9 a.m. Sept. 30 at 25534 Canyon Golf Road for a three-story, multiuse facility in San Antonio.

The gist

Known as Providence by the Green, the 15,800-square-foot multiuse facility in far north San Antonio overlooks Canyon Springs Golf Course in Stone Oak. According to the developers, the site will include retail, dining and event spaces.

Inspired by The Source Market Hall in Denver, San Antonio-based WestEast Design Group plans to build a three-level structure with floor-to-ceiling windows and seven outdoor terraces that overlook the 12th green on Canyon Springs Golf Club.

The first floor will feature a full-service restaurant, a coffee shop and an in-house catering service for event rentals, community cooking classes and community events. The second floor will feature private, rentable event spaces; a wine shop and tasting area; and a floral shop. The third floor is reserved for a restaurant and rooftop bar.
