San Antonio-based real estate investment company Embrey closed on 74 acres at I-35 North and Cibolo Valley Drive, according to a Jan. 3 news release. The site is located behind EVO Entertainment.

The property will be used for the construction of a new townhome community.
The release states that the gated community will consist of duplex-style townhomes with options for one-, two- and three-bedroom layouts. The plan is to build 318 townhomes.
Alongside the townhomes, the development will feature amenities for residents including a fitness center, swimming pool and outdoor area.
According to the release, the townhomes are build-to-rent.
The development will also include retail, which will be completed by Merit Commercial Real Estate.
An estimated completion date on the project has not been announced.
