Universal City on March 10 announced that Stage 1 water restrictions are in effect.
According to the announcement, as of March 9, it was officially confirmed that the 10-day rolling average of the J-17 index well fell below 660 feet above mean sea level.
Part of the restrictions include set days and times residents may use their sprinkler systems. Residents are also restricted from wasting water, using water to wash impervious outdoor ground coverings or using aesthetic outdoor water features such as fountains and waterfalls.
Water customers are requested to practice water conservation and to minimize or discontinue water use for nonessential purposes.
