During the April 26 Cibolo City Council Meeting, city staff presented statements of qualification for professional services from professional engineering firms.
Council gave direction for the city manager to enter a contract with Halff Associates Inc. to analyze the current wastewater infrastructure in the city as well as existing public facilities as an effort to ascertain the system’s ability to operate in a proper manner.
This item is in regard to the moratorium discussion which was first brought up by Council in December. In that meeting, council discussed whether it would be appropriate to pause new developments while studying if current infrastructure can handle it.
According to Director of Planning and Engineering, Rudolph Klein, this contract is among the first steps in the moratorium process and will show infrastructure needs for the city.
