A new mid-block crosswalk will be placed on Main Street in Cibolo between Pfeil Road and Loop 539.
City Council approved the new crosswalk during the May 9 meeting, where city staff gave a presentation on crosswalk options.
What to expect
Of the options presented to council, the consensus was to approve a crosswalk that would include striping, static signage and crosswalk work.
According to the document submitted by staff, the city will observe the crosswalk following the installation and add additional features if needed.
Capital Improvements Program Manager Elvin Hernandez said the approximate cost for the crosswalk is $17,700. This project will be funded through the Street Maintenance Budget.
