A Walmart location at 5555 De Zavala Road in North San Antonio has completed extensive renovations and fully reopened to the public on June 13.

The store was one of 67 Walmart locations that were planned for a remodel in Texas this year, according to a news release from the company.
While the store was never fully closed, portions of the interior were blocked off entirely throughout the process.
According to the news release, this was the store's first major renovation since it first opened in 1998.
What's changed
New additions include a more open floor plan, improved signage, and upgraded freezers.
The news release said that several areas of the store were remodeled, including an enlarged pet goods section and a renovated electronics department.
