A new spot for boba tea and sweet treats is getting ready to open in Northeast San Antonio.
What you need to know
Halo Halo Boba Tea & Ice Cream Lounge—locally owned by husband-and-wife duo Merle and Yong Rivera—will be opening this summer behind M.Y. Chockdee Oriental Market & Restaurant in Universal City.
The Riveras will serve Halo-halo, a traditional frozen Filipino dessert, along with boba tea. The boba tea will be made from shaved ice and milk, filled with various tropical fruits, nuts, syrups and more, Merle Rivera said.
