Cibolo partners with Bluedot to provide rewards for shopping local

The Open Rewards program for the city of Cibolo gives residents the opportunity to save money while supporting small businesses.

Since 2022, the city of Cibolo has partnered with Bludot to provide rewards to community members who shop at locally owned businesses. The rewards incentive runs from October to January.

Utilizing the Open Rewards phone app, shoppers can create an account to earn 5% cash back in rewards. Rewards can be claimed by uploading payment cards to the app, or by taking pictures of receipts from local businesses.

Some of the businesses featured in the program include:

• Ernie’s Patio Bar
• Grampie’s Pizzeria
• Frenchie Coffee Roasters
• The Pastry Corner
• Coco LeFor
• The Rooted Fork

A full list of businesses can be found through the app. According to the Open Rewards app, more than 65 businesses are listed in Cibolo for the rewards program.

This program comes at no cost for local businesses to participate, with the primary goal to encourage shopping at small businesses during the holiday season, according to the program website.
