The city of Boerne and Boerne ISD are scheduled to canvas the results of the May 3 election and prepare for the swearing in of the new elected officials.

While the canvassing of votes is scheduled for May 13, the swearing in ceremony for City Council is planned for the May 27 meeting, Communications Director Chris Shadrock said.
Alongside city official results, four city charter propositions will also be canvassed during the May 13 meeting, extending the term limit of council members from two to three years. Boerne City Council meetings are held at 6 p.m. at the city council chambers, located at 447 N Main St, Boerne.

Boerne ISD trustees will canvass votes and swear in new members on May 12. In the election, Place 4 trustee Maritza Gonzalez-Cooper was unseated by Sarah Faulkenberry, while Place 5 trustee Garrett Wilson retained his seat.
Wilson and Faulkenberry are to be sworn in during the meeting, which is expected to begin around 6:30 p.m.
