Inside 9 Golf opens new golf simulator in Fair Oaks Ranch

A new golf simulator has officially opened in the Boerne and Fair Oaks Ranch area, a spot that Co-owners Brendan Bean and Chad Taylor said is unique to the region.

Inside 9 Golf officially opened on Dec. 30, Bean announced in a Facebook post.


It’s situated at 27650 I-10 W., Ste. 207, in the Napa Oaks Plaza near Fair Oaks Ranch.

Featuring simulators, co-working, and community gathering, Bean said he wanted to create a space for locals to enjoy.

Bush’s Chicken permanently closes lone Boerne location


This Texas-based chicken chain has shuttered its sole location in Boerne to close off the year.

In case you missed it

Bush’s Chicken officially closed its doors in mid-December, removing its signage and posting a notice on the front door.

The note says, “we are ready to serve you at any of our San Antonio locations.”


It was the chain’s only location in Boerne, situated at 1550 Hwy. 46, near Champion High School.

Bush’s Chicken has yet to release a statement on the closure, and the location’s Facebook page is still posting menu updates as of Dec. 31.

TLC Total Lawn Care celebrates 25 years in San Antonio


A lawn care service serving the Greater San Antonio area celebrated an anniversary this month.

In a nutshell

TLC Total Lawn Care is celebrating its 25th anniversary in December, according to a Facebook post from the business.

The company, run by President Gerry Bower, serves the San Antonio area as well as San Marcos, the Rio Grande Valley, Laredo and Corpus Christi.


TLC Total Lawn Care offers commercial landscape maintenance, irrigation installation, forestry mulching and commercial fencing.

Waymo autonomous vehicles to expand into San Antonio

Waymo, an autonomous driving service, is on its way to San Antonio.

The details

On Nov. 18, the company announced its intentions to begin fully autonomous driving in San Antonio, as well as Dallas and Houston.

In an email to Community Impact, Product Communications Manager Chris Bonelli said Waymo intends to make public rides available early in 2026.

Initially started in 2009 as the Google self-driving car project, Waymo now has autonomous ride-hailing services in major metro areas across the United States.
