Vaughan Automotive celebrated the grand opening of a new headquarters in Boerne.
The details
Created in 2001, Vaughan Automotive oversees the operations of Vaughan car dealerships, including Vic Vaughan Toyota of Boerne, which opened in 2008.
According to the business website, the operational goal of Vaughan Automotive is to develop and sustain quality employees, work environments and a customer-centric experience. The new office space serves as the hub for company operations.

A new metroplex: Local officials discuss growing I-35 corridor at annual summit
The 2025 Austin-San Antonio Growth Summit kicked off on Oct. 8, highlighting the current growth and future expansion of business and development along the I-35 corridor.
Hundreds of business owners, regional officials and lawmakers attended the event in San Marcos.
The outlook
Henry Cisneros, former San Antonio mayor and 10th United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, began the summit by detailing what the region could look like by 2050.
“What we’re living through is quantitatively different than any generation has seen before,” he said.
By 2050, Cisneros said the population in the Austin and San Antonio metroplex is projected to grow from 5.3 million to 8.3 million.

Crisis Center of Comal County's transitional housing project sees progress in New Braunfels
Crisis Center of Comal County is making progress on its transitional housing facility.
"The importance of this center is to give a home to those who lost their home, and a hope of reestablishing their own permanent place that they can call home without fear of violence," Chief Executive Officer Julie Strentzsch said.
A quick note
The nonprofit organization works to embrace survivors of trauma and empowers them to positively change the trajectory of their lives through safe, compassionate wraparound services, Strentzsch said. Because the nonprofit organization has yet to name the building, the project is being called The Center.
“We are seeking individuals who are interested in naming rights,” she said.

What North San Antonio voters need to know about early voting for the Nov. 4 election
Early voting runs from Oct. 20-31 for the Nov. 4 election, and Bexar County voters will vote on whether or not to raise the county’s venue tax.

Bexar County residents can vote at designated polling centers throughout the county.
