The details
The proposed development is located in the Scenic Interstate Corridor Overlay District, which establishes design and development standards for the area. The permit would allow for an accessory drive-thru for the 668-square-foot Scooter’s Coffee.
According to the P&Z agenda, the proposed drive-thru is designed to accommodate up to 14 vehicles in the queue and provides an escape lane. The site plan identifies five on-site spaces, including one Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant stall, with an additional 10 shared spaces available, for a total of 15.
Founded in 1998, Nebraska-based Scooter’s Coffee offers a selection of hot and iced beverages alongside a variety of food items.
If approved by P&Z and Boerne City Council, the project would be the first Scooter’s Coffee in the Boerne area, with the closest location being off SH 46 near Bergheim. The public hearing will be held at Boerne City Hall, 447 N Main St., Boerne, on Oct. 6 beginning at 6 p.m.
