October home sales varied, prices dipped in Round Rock

Across the Round Rock market in October, median home prices decreased and the average number of days homes spent on the market increased, according to data from the Austin Board of Realtors.

However, sales were mixed across the four ZIP codes.

Year-over-year home sales in ZIP codes 78664 and 78665 dropped, while sales in 78681 and 78717 increased. In 78681, sales increased the most by 70%.

Median home prices were down across the market. Home prices in ZIP code 78717 dropped the most year over year by nearly 20%.

The most number of homes in the market—65—were sold between $300,000 and $499,999. There were also:

• 3 homes sold for $900,000 or more
• 16 homes sold between $700,000 and $899,999
• 48 homes sold between $500,000 and $699,999
• 6 homes sold for $299,999 or less

The average number of days homes spent on the market were up year over year in three ZIP codes. Homes in 78681 spent 39 days on the market both last October and this October.
