Real estate agents now have more time to place open house signs in the city of Round Rock.
What you need to know
Round Rock City Council approved a measure Aug. 13 that allows open house signs to be displayed between 6 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Previously, agents could only place open house signs these days beginning at noon.
Council also approved new Friday hours, allowing signs to be displayed 3 p.m.-7 p.m.
The changes were made after feedback from local real estate agents who asked for additional time to display signs as well as allowing earlier start times due to summer heat.
What else?
The city still requires that signs be properly permitted through the city. Signs must also be picked up by their owner at the end of the permitted time period and are not allowed to remain overnight.
