Round Rock ISD STAAR end-of-course exams show growth across most subjects

The local impact

Students saw year-to-year improvement in scores for four of five exams administered:

• Algebra I: 88% of students passing in 2026, versus 46% in 2025, an improvement of 42 percentage points.
• Biology: 97% of students passing in 2026, versus 59% in 2025, an improvement of 38 percentage points.
• English I: 82% of students passing in 2026, versus 25% in 2025, an improvement of 57 percentage points.
• English II: 82% of students passing in 2026, versus 27% in 2025, an improvement of 55 percentage points.
• U.S. History: 95% of students passing in 2026, versus 96% in 2025, a reduction of one percentage point.
