1. Conejo’s Tex-Mex

The restaurant’s menu blends Mexican cuisine with Tex-Mex staples and Southern flavors. Offerings include tacos, fajitas, enchiladas, quesadillas and more. The restaurant is locally owned by Bobby Joe Hernandez, chef Eduardo Miguel, and Matt and Sandra Morcher. The restaurant’s first location is in Leander.

2. Sri Sai Flowers

Locally owned by Lakshmi Manikanta, the business offers fresh-cut flowers and bouquets as well as wedding, event and funeral garlands. The shop also carries jewelry, gifts and festival items, such as turmeric and vermilion powder, henna, and saris.

3. Sylvan Learning Center

The center provides tutoring and academic support across subjects such as math, reading, writing, science and languages, as well as test preparation and other academic services. The franchise is owned and operated by Allan and Amy Kelley.

6. Bed Rock Breakfast & Bar

Owner Brian Hernandez said the restaurant will include retro design elements and have an Americana-inspired menu offering breakfast, lunch and dinner. Hernandez also recently took over ownership of Pecan Street Station in Pflugerville.

7. Eggs Up Grill

The franchise is locally owned by Michael and Rana Bosleah and will offer breakfast, lunch and brunch, including a variety of ways to prepare eggs, hash browns, pancakes and waffles. •The diner is one of several restaurants the couple plans to open in the greater Austin area, including the Cedar Park location, which opened in May 2025.

8. Cafe Du Bliss

The Korean-style cafe offers a variety of matcha- and coffee-based beverages, smoothies and sparkling drinks. The business’s specialty latte flavors include corn, sweet potato and black sesame. Locally owned by Suzi and Michael Yi, this will be the cafe’s second location, with the first in the Arboretum.

9. Silo Eye Care

The clinic is locally owned by Dr. Ashish Patel, who said he has worked in the area for seven years. The optometrist’s office will provide eye exams, contact lens examinations and fittings and medical eye care, as well as a curated selection of glasses.

10. The Goddard School

The new location for the early childhood education •facility began enrolling students in late July. The school provides childcare and early education for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years old. The new campus will include a multipurpose room and multiple playgrounds. The location is owned by Swetal Soni, Pinak Gohel, Vaishali Gohel and Rohan Munshi, who together also own a Georgetown location of the franchise.

11. Casa Masa

The restaurant is planned for the former Wine Sensation space. The building, built in 1985, will undergo a $500,000 renovation to add a tortilleria and storage. Construction began in June and is expected to last through December.

12. Swim Studio

Construction on the business, which will offer swimming lessons to adults and children as young as 6 months old, is set to begin construction in September and last through February 2028. Community Impact previously reported that the location was planned to open in early 2025. The swim school offers weekly 30-minute lessons as well as 10-day boot camps for ages 2 and up.

13. Walmart

An interior and exterior renovation is planned for the store. The project’s scope is limited to 13,637 square feet of the 203,115-square-foot store’s interior. The •$1.3 million• remodel is set to begin at the end of January and wrap up around mid-May.

14. Rockey’s Piano Bar

The music venue marked 10 years of bringing live music, signature cocktails and draft beers to the city’s downtown district and celebrated with an event Aug. 27. The bar and venue is owned by Mingo Hernandez, Johnny Ontiveros and David Solis, who together also own Backporch Social in Round Rock.

15. Hotworx

The fitness studio changed hands this summer, with the business announcing it’s under the ownership of Kayla and Michael Johnson Aug. 1. The virtually instructed fitness studio offers classes in an infrared sauna.

16. Tejas Meat Supply

The full service butcher shop and restaurant, which opened its Round Rock location in March, offered fresh cuts of beef, pork and wild game from Texas ranches as well as a selection of house-made sausages, jerky and charcuterie. The shop’s original location opened in October 2020 in Georgetown, and is located at 101 E. Seventh St. The business is locally owned by Keith Odom, Jonathan Brooks and Landrum Turner.
