September and early October events in the Round Rock area include a 9/11 tribute, a "Clue" performance and a family-friendly activities.

This list is not comprehensive. All events are subject to change.

September

9/11 Flag Tribute

The Texas Fallen Project Inc. will place 5,000 flags in the ground, one for each of the 2,979 American lives lost on 9/11, while the remainder represent veterans and first responders who have died in the line of duty since.

‘Clue’

Penfold Theatre Co. will put on a production of the whodunit based on the cult classic film and Hasbro board game. The comedy follows an iconic cast of characters as they race to find out who’s the murderer.

National Dance Day

Sponsored by the city of Round Rock Arts and Culture, the event invites participants to learn and enjoy a variety of dancing styles.

Austin Museum Day at The Williamson Museum

The museum will welcome guests to create animation-themed crafts and to learn about Taylor-born Tex Avery, who helped bring characters like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Porky Pig to life. The museum will also showcase its exhibit “Lights, Camera, Williamson County,” which highlights shows and movies filmed locally.

Live at Lakeview: Fit Fest

Now in its second year, the event will feature a variety of group fitness classes, including strength training, Zumba and yoga, as well as fitness challenges, vendors, prizes, and food and drinks. Additionally, the event aims to set the record for the largest group of people planking together in a Texas park.

2026 Special Needs Family Jamboree

Hosted by Casey’s Circle and the city of Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department, the event is designed for individuals with disabilities and their families. Adaptive and inclusive organizations, programs and services will be on hand to share information and provide fun stations, including crafts, games, music, snacks and more. Registration is required.

October

National Night Out

The annual community event aims to promote partnerships between the police and the community in order to make neighborhoods safer. On this night, neighborhoods across the state host block parties, festivals and cookouts.

Family Construction Zone

With school closed in Round Rock ISD for a student holiday, families are invited to stop by the second floor of the library, where a construction zone will be set up. Children ages 5 and older can build, create and imagine with the library’s collection of construction materials. Round Rock High School’s STEMsters club will also be on site with their marshmallow catapult.
