The city of Round Rock over the past several years has worked to encourage a downtown area that is appealing to both businesses and visitors. With more people now coming downtown, city officials are continuing to make changes that will enhance the visitor experience. “The city is growing, and I think more and more people are discovering downtown,” Downtown Manager Courtney Ainsworth said. While the city has long-term plans to implement new parking infrastructure, officials are exploring short-term ways in which they can improve upon existing space and incorporate more walking space for pedestrians as well as outdoor gathering areas.
