Photo by Samantha Bryant Brothers-in-law Enrique Ricardo Antunano and Ricardo Garza partnered together to open Ricardo's Tacos & More in February 20, and they are serving some of the same recipes they grew up eating in the interior of Mexico.
"They are what our moms used to make," Antunano said.
Antunano and Garza are no strangers to the restaurant business—they own a Quiznos in Round Rock on Louis Henna Boulevard and one in Austin on 38th Street.
They said Ricardo's Tacos & More gives them more flexibility and control over the menu than operating a franchise. Since opening the restaurant, Antunano and Garza have continued to tweak what the restaurant offers—they added hamburgers several months ago, and in November, added Ricardo's Special Nachos ($4.50), a nacho dish piled high with cheese, ranch style beans, beef fajita meat and jalapeos.
