Pflugerville officials are asking for feedback by July 28 on a plan to fund improvements to parks, sidewalks and recreational programs. The funds are available through the Community Development Block Grant program, which provides annual grants to qualifying communities for improving housing and economic opportunities for low and moderate-income residents. At a June 23 council meeting, Pflugerville city staff recommended several ways to utilize the grant, including $40,000 for accessibility improvements at the Pflugerville Recreation Center, $75,000 for a pavilion at Windermere Park, $20,000 for a sidewalk extension along Foothill Farms near the Travis County Health and Human Services building and $15,000 for youth recreation program scholarships.
