A need for Pflugerville road improvements could spur a bond election in 2014.
Pflugerville City Council broached the idea of a bond at its retreat April 27 and outlined potential projects on Heatherwilde Boulevard, East Pflugerville Parkway, Weiss Lane and East Pecan Street. Pflugerville City Manager Brandon Wade said the four roads received priority based on pressures from developers and Pflugerville ISD.
"Anticipation of future development is what it boils down to," Wade said. "[We have seen] a combination of various development pressures from developers and discussions with the school district about where they might want to put a future school location."
The council has not officially set the bond and will probably not make a decision on whether to hold a bond election until the end of this year. In the meantime, the council could decide to add or take away projects from the list.
