The owners of a Culver's restaurant plan to open the location in May at 2320 E. Palm Valley Blvd., Round Rock, according to a Jan. 14 press release. Jennifer and Jason Suplita will open Round Rock's first location of the franchise, which specializes in frozen custard and its ButterBurgers that feature beef served on a buttered and toasted bun. The restaurant also serves cheese curds, salads, chicken sandwiches and fish dinners. "We're thrilled to bring handcrafted, high-quality meals and desserts to the community of Round Rock," Jennifer Suplita said in a Jan. 14 press release. "We think Round Rock is a wonderful area, and we are excited to become a contributing and active member." According to city records, plans for a Chick-fil-A restaurant next to the Culver's are currently under review. www.culvers.com
