The Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District's Community Center at 16318 Great Oaks Drive, Round Rock, held a groundbreaking ceremony April 4 for its expansion, and officials anticipate it to be completed by July 2017. The expansion will include an additional double gym, an expanded weight and cardio room, and two fitness rooms. The Community Center is a 37,000 square-foot-facility with fitness equipment and space for general use. Hours will be Mon.-Fri. 5:30 a.m.-10 p.m., Sat. 6 a.m.-10 p.m. and Sun. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. 512-255-7871.
