As overall residential sales decreased by 7.5% in Round Rock and Pflugerville in August, area townhouse sales skyrocketed by 157.7%, according to data released Sept. 17 by the Austin Board of Realtors.
In Round Rock, 14 townhouse sales have closed in the year to date, a 40% year-over-year increase. The city saw a 9% decrease year over year in single-family home sales, as the average price of a single-family dwelling increased by 7.1% to $334,106.
Pflugerville's real estate scene has marked 32 closed townhouse sales in the year to date, marking a 166.7% spike. Single-family home sales dipped by 1.6%, with 729 closed sales this year. The average single-family home value increased by 10.1% to $297,899, per ABoR data.
The city of Hutto has not reported any condominium or townhouse sales in the year to date, and its single-family home sales dipped by 5.6% this year. The average price of a single-family home rose by 6.7% to $251,771, per ABoR data.
