The Round Rock Police Department will kick off its yearly Operation Front Porch initiative Nov. 9 to help prevent package thefts during the holiday season, per a city news release.
Operation Front Porch, which is entering its fourth year of operations, allows residents to ship their packages directly to the RRPD while they are traveling or out of town for the holiday season. Residents interested in utilizing the program should enter the following shipment information:

Pickup times are as follows:
- 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday;
- 8 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday from Dec. 7-22;
- 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Saturdays in December;
- and no Sunday pickup.
To pick up a package, residents will need to provide their identity through a government-issued ID card or a shipment receipt. Face coverings are required while retrieving packages.
