Mike Freeman, Miguel Villarreal and Jeremiah D. Williams won the three open positions on the Upper Brushy Creek WCID board of directors with 23.17 percent of the vote, 16.81 percent of the vote and 16.21 percent of the vote, respectively. Robert Jackson, Lowell Moore and Gregor Forbes finished with 16.02 percent of the vote, 15.96 percent of the vote, and 11.83 percent of the vote, respectively. All results are unofficial until canvassed.

According to early, unofficial voting results, Mike Freeman, Miguel Villareal and Robert Jackson lead in the race for the three open positions on the Upper Brushy Creek WCID board of director in the May 7 election with 23.08 percent, 17.08 percent and 16.81 percent of the votes, respectively. Lowell Moore, Jeremiah D. Williams and Gregor Forbes trail with 16.33 percent, 15.19 percent and 11.51 percent of the votes, respectively. The top three vote-getters tonight will fill the three open positions on the board. Villareal and Forbes are the incumbents. Freeman said the early results are encouraging, but it is too early to tell if the results will hold. "I feel it's going to go my way, but I never put the cart before the horse," he said. Freeman said his top priorities if elected to the board will be to prevent flooding in the most fiscally responsible way possible.
