Pflugerville approves final canvassed votes from City Council, 3-part bond election

Following unofficial results recorded for Pflugerville's Nov. 3 election by Travis and Williamson counties, Pflugerville approved canvassing the election's official votes at a Nov. 17 special meeting.

The vote canvassing sealed wins for candidate Ceasar Ruiz, incumbent Rudy Metayer and challenger David Rogers. Canvassed votes differed slightly than the unofficial results but not enough to change any outcomes.

Final results showed Place 2 candidates Ruiz and Victor To collecting 14,078 votes and 9,624 votes, respectively. From Place 4, Metayer maintained his seat over challenger Bob Reichenbach, with Metayer earning 15,857 votes and Reichenbach receiving 7,722 votes.

For Place 6, incumbent Jim McDonald lost his seat to Rogers, with Rogers receiving 11,948 votes and McDonald earning 11,066 votes.

From the city's 3-part special called bond election, Proposition A pertained to $101.7 million in transportation projects, Proposition B included $42.3 million in parks projects and Proposition C proposed $47.3 million for a senior and recreation center.

Proposition A received 18,058 votes in favor and 8,423 votes against. Proposition B earned 17,393 votes for and 8,986 votes against. Proposition C collected 14,831 votes in favor and 11,101 votes against.
