Richardson City Council approves $1.1M water line project

Richardson City Council approved a $1.1 million contract to A&M Construction for waterline replacements at three locations.

Funding for the project, approved during a June 23 meeting, is from the water/sewer fund, according to city documents.

The details

The project is to replace aging existing waterlines in Promenade Tower at Coit Road, Stillmeadow Drive between Lois Lane to Audelia Road and Dunbarton Drive between Edgewood Drive to College Park Boulevard.

The need for the repairs is based upon frequent water main breaks that occur at these locations, per the documents. Additionally, new barrier-free ramps, adjacent curb and pavement over the pipe trenches will be included in the project.

What’s next

Construction on the project is expected to begin in August and finish in early 2026.
