A Richardson woman in her 60s is one of seven new patients who have died from the coronavirus in Dallas County, according to a press release. She was critically ill in an area hospital at the time of her death, the county reports.
“This is a somber reminder of the ruthlessness of this pandemic,” County Judge Clay Jenkins said.
New cases in the county totaled 80 today, marking the fourth consecutive day of case numbers in the double digits instead of triple.
“I am encouraged by the number of new cases, which is once again lower than the average daily number for last week,” Jenkins said in an April 23 release. “That’s been the pattern for every day this week.”
