Richardson names new parks and recreation director

“I am thrilled to take on the director's role and continue leading the dedicated staff in Richardson's Parks and Recreation Department,” Falgout said. “We are a strong department, among the leading agencies in North Texas, and I look forward to continuing and improving the amazing services we provide every day, as well as the traditions we have with many of our signature events like Wildflower, Santa’s Village and the Cottonwood festivals.”

City Manager Don Magner said Falgout is known for prioritizing resident and stakeholder relationships.

“We’ve benefitted from her experience and dedication these past seven years, and after conducting a thorough selection process, promoting her into this position was an easy decision,” Magner said. “She is deeply passionate about providing high-quality programs to the community and is dedicated to our people-first management philosophy.”
