School zones have been set for Willard Middle School in Celina ISD and Jim Bridges Middle School in Prosper ISD.
Both campuses are located in the city of Celina and will open in fall 2026, according to city documents.
Celina City Council approved the new school zones at a March 10 meeting.
The details
The speed limit on Frontier Parkway near Jim Bridges Middle School will be reduced to 35 mph, and the rest of the new school zones will be limited to 20 mph, per city documents.
The school zones will apply during each school’s drop-off and pickup times:
- Willard Middle School
- 7:55-8:55 a.m.
- 3:50-4:50 p.m.
- Jim Bridges Middle School
- 7:35-8:35 a.m.
- 3:25-4:25 p.m.

City officials update Celina’s school zones once a year, according to a presentation by city staff.
Additional school zone changes are likely as CISD looks to open a slate of new schools as part of its 2025 bond program, including three elementary schools expected to open in fall 2027.
