Wilson Creek Park, a nearly 100-acre park, will feature a disc golf course, several pickleball courts, walking trails and more.
Celina City Council members approved a $2.53 million contract with engineering company Dunaway Associates for the first phase of designs for the park during their Aug. 21 meeting.

Plans for Wilson Creek Park, located at the northwest intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Roseland Parkway, have been discussed since 2022, according to meeting documents.
The total construction cost for Phase 1 of the park is expected to be $30 million, according to meeting documents.

Wilson Creek Park’s total construction budget is estimated to be $50.75 million, according to the June master plan.

Layout plans for the park show it will be flanked by future residential areas and an elementary school, according to meeting documents. Plans also feature a future fire station.
