Construction for the Academy Sports + Outdoors building in Celina is ongoing.
What's happening
According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the 63,834-square-foot building started construction in September 2025 and was expected to be completed March 2026.
The store is now slated to open in June, according to owner Joseph Levings.
