Stay up to date on seven ongoing and upcoming transportation projects in Plano, according to the city’s community improvement program. This list is not comprehensive.
Upcoming projects:
1. G Avenue paving and water improvements
Project: Crews will replace a waterline and pavement on G Avenue between 14th and 15th streets. Improvements will also add on-street parking, enhance sidewalks and update traffic signals.
Update: Construction is scheduled to start July 30 and wrap up in mid-December.

2. Custer Road
Project: The North Texas Municipal Water District is currently working to replace an aging pipeline along Custer Road.
Update: According to a city news release, 4,900 feet of the 9,100-foot pipeline have been installed. Permanent paving at West 15th Street and Pitman Drive will be scheduled pending water testing.

3. 15th Street paving and waterline reconstruction
Project: The project involves the removal and replacement of pavement, sidewalks and water lines along 15th Street from Municipal Avenue to Jupiter Road.
Update: Traffic lane widths are reduced to allow for utility installation from Municipal Avenue to P Avenue.

4. Custer Road asphalt overlay
Project: Crews are working on arterial concrete repairs in preparation for an asphalt overlay.
Update: Arterial concrete repairs on Custer Road from Hedgcoxe Road to Spring Creek Parkway are underway.

5. Coit Road asphalt overlay
Project: Crews are working on arterial concrete repairs in preparation for an asphalt overlay.
Update: Arterial concrete repairs on Coit Road from President George Bush Turnpike to Parker Road are underway.

6. Plano Parkway sewer improvements
Project: Plano is working to make sewer improvements along Plano Parkway to increase sewer capacity for current and future development in the area.
Update: Several lanes along Plano Parkway will see closures as construction continues.

7. Legacy Drive intersection improvements
Project: Crews are working to improve intersections in west Plano, including Corporate Drive and Legacy Drive.
