Thousands of Plano residents gathered July 26 to say goodbye to Collin Creek Mall. The city of Plano has approved plans to overhaul the once-proud indoor shopping center and turn it into a $1 billion mixed-use destination. Developer Mehrdad Moayedi of Centurion American said July 26 he expects demolition of the first anchor stores to begin in 30-45 days. In the meantime, residents past and present came together to reminisce on the mall as it was.
