The city of Plano is seeking volunteers for the Annual Homeless Census, also known as the Point-in-Time Count, which is set to take place Jan. 25.
Volunteers—who must be at least 18 years old—must complete their registration by Jan. 11 through the city’s volunteer management system, according to a city news release. The Point-in-Time Count is conducted once per year in January and is used to survey the local homeless population.
The overview
Individuals volunteering Jan. 25 should arrive at the Plano Municipal Center no later than 6:45 p.m. with a one-hour training session beginning at 7 p.m. Volunteers should expect to be out until around midnight, per the news release.
