Six Springs Tavern is hosting a free, three-day live music event in Richardson. A variety of bands and artists will play 45-minute sets of original music over the course of the event. Six Springs Tavern is typically closed July 4 but chose to stay open this year to hold the music festival, the business said. This event is for all ages. 4 p.m. (doors open). Free. July 3-4 | Frisco Freedom Fest

Frisco’s annual Fourth of July celebration will kick off July 3 with the Hotter 'n Firecrackers 5K and Glow Run as well as the Dachshund Dash. On July 4, the city's Party in the Plaza will begin at 4 p.m. with an array of activities for families. such as the Children’s Expo, Community Stage and Hometown Hero Exhibit. The Taste of Frisco event will also be back this year with Frisco restaurants serving some of their most popular menu items. Celebrate the Fourth of July with free family activities, live entertainment and a fireworks show organized by the city of McKinney and Craig Ranch. The Independence Fest Children’s Parade will take place at 10 a.m. The parade will be held at Leonard and Helen Johns Park, 1800 Timber Creek Road. July 4 | 39th Annual July 4th Firework Extravaganza in Grapevine

The firework extravaganza will take place at various Grapevine lakeside park locations, including Oak Grove Park, Meadowmere Park, Scott’s Landing Marina and Grapevine Main Station. Fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m. and will be set to patriotic music, according to the city website. Parking and entry fees may apply for some locations.
