A trail near the playground at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve and a parking area has now reopened after the city completed a $1.2 million erosion control project.

Work for the project was completed June 26, according to the city’s parks and recreation department. The city opened the preserve’s hard surface loop trail June 2, according to a parks department social media post.
The contractor for the project will continue to water and maintain new plants near the project area through February 2027, and the plants may stay fenced so they can grow undisturbed, according to the parks department.
