Cars lined up at Weatherford Elementary School on Sept. 9 to drop students off for their first day of in-person school. For many, this was the first time they had set foot on campus since Plano ISD shut down school in March.
The district has been preparing for this day for months, Superintendent Sara Bonser said.
“We have done everything we can to ... put safety protocols in place to protect students,” she said.
Safeguards against spread of the virus include everything from mandatory masks, socially distanced meal time and capacity limits in restrooms, Bonser said.
