St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Plano took a step forward in its planned campus renovation.
The Catholic church, located at 2700 W. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, requested approval of a preliminary replat and revised site plan for the more than 35-year-old religious facility at a Plano Planning and Zoning Commissioners meeting Jan. 19.
In a 2020 message to the church, DevCon project manager Kevin Bird shared that the existing church is expected to be demolished, and a new church will be built central to the 6.3-acre property. The central location will allow equal access to existing parking lots and will make the church more visible, he said.
The new church will be over 50 feet tall, Bird said, and will extend along Spring Creek Parkway. There are also plans for a bell tower. An internal expanded garden will accentuate the church's existing columbarium, he said.
