Plano’s Planning and Zoning commission approved a number of proposed changes to a section of Signature Plaza along Coit Road.
The changes were approved at a meeting June 1.
The gist
The 0.9-acre lot was approved for reconfigured parking, drive-thru lane modifications, adding 1,258 square feet and a covered patio, Director of Planning Christina Day said. The revised site plan also added a dumpster enclosure, per city documents.
The lot currently houses the Plano location of Liquor King.
The background
Signature Plaza was approved for new development involving two new retail buildings at a 9.7-acre lot during a planning and zoning meeting April 20.
The plaza also used to house a Kroger location that closed Jan. 23, 2025, before it was replaced by the Kroger Marketplace across the street. New development would turn the old grocery store location into a fitness center, per previous reporting.
