A new gas station is coming to Roanoke, and a gym will open in Allen. Check out the latest construction permits filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
1. The Plaza at Spring Creek
Shopping center The Plaza at Spring Creek will start complete construction in early December 2027, according to TDLR documents. The development will feature two parking decks, 11 retail buildings and two community green spaces.

- Estimated timeline: Dec. 1, 2025-Dec. 1, 2027
- Estimated cost: $9.76 million
2. Frisco restaurant shell buildings
Two restaurant shell buildings are slated for construction in Frisco, according to TDLR documents. Both buildings are scheduled to start construction in October and wrap in October 2027. The buildings will feature a dining patio and total roughly 24,000 square feet. One building will cost $4.19 million and the other will cost about $3.84 million.

3. Burlington renovations
A Burlington department store will install new restrooms, a new breakroom and offices as part of a downsizing plan at the Richardson location, per TDLR documents. Burlington offers clothing, shoes and home decor, according to the company’s website.

- Estimated timeline: Oct. 1-May 1, 2027
- Estimated cost: $1 million
4. Roanoke QuikTrip
Gas station and convenience store QuikTrip is scheduled to start construction on a new location in Roanoke in mid-January, TDLR documents state. The location will cover 6,445 square feet and cost $850,000 to build.

5. Crunch Fitness
TDLR documents state a new Crunch Fitness gym will start construction on North Watters Road in Allen. The work includes mechanical, plumbing and electrical renovations of an existing 7,000-square-foot space. Crunch Fitness operates several locations in North Texas with locations in McKinney, Plano and Frisco, according to the company’s website.
